Ted Sprinkle, DVM

Chief Executive Officer

Ted Sprinkle, Chief Executive Officer of Encore Vet Group, was a practicing veterinarian for 20 years and co-created the first veterinary-led corporate veterinary management organization in the country. His golden retriever Abby would say he’s loving, kind and lets her do her own thing … until it’s time for a bath and a brush—then he’s in charge.

Tracy Sears

General Manager

“Over the years, I have learned how important hospitals are to their local communities. They define who we are and I enjoy supporting them while they give pets great medical care. Our people are not just a number, and I value the relationships I build with every team.” Tracy Sears, General Manager at Encore, has 14 years of experience in operations, finance, sales, marketing, human resources and culture development. If her rescue pets, Bryer and Lucy, could talk, they’d say Tracy is their best friend … and a fool for playing one-sided fetch!

Devin Whalen

Partnership Development Leader

“I’ve learned that nothing defines a work space better than an organization’s culture. I am so excited to share our culture that makes work feel like home and to help our hospitals better focus on their passion for pet care.” Devin Whalen, Partnership Development Leader, has 6 years of experience in operations and strategic planning. If her cats, Finnbar and Seamus, could talk, they’d say, “FEED US… and by the way, we love you!”

Courtney Hamilton, LVT

Partnership Development Administrator

Courtney has been a Licensed Veterinary Technician for the past 10 years. In that time, she has had the opportunity to become knowledgeable in both general practice and emergency medicine.  In her role as Partnership Development Administrator, Courtney works strategically with the development team to support the partnership process. Courtney works to ensure that industry standards are met and as our partnerships grows, we move to achieve greater heights in the field by developing and maintaining processes that help utilize our company goals, strategies and culture.  Courtney enjoys yoga, training at the gym and gardening. In her down time, she enjoys spending time with her three cats and her husband Brad

John Pierce, DVM

Partnership Development Specialist

John Pierce, DVM, is a graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and has been a practicing veterinarian for 10+ years. He currently owns his own veterinary practice start-up in St. Petersburg, Florida. Dr. Pierce previously served as a medical advisory board chair and an area medical director.  As a Partnership Development Specialist for Encore, Dr. Pierce is responsible for seeking out new hospital partners, developing collaborative relationships, and securing partnerships with exceptional practices and their teams.  John and his wife Danni have two wonderful children, as well as one dog, two cats, and a cockatiel. They love the outdoors, going to the beach, paddle boarding, jet-skiing, fishing, and camping.

Emily Leuthner, DVM, DACVIM

Partnership Development Specialist

Dr. Emily Leuthner, a New York native, opened her first solo practice in 1999. Since then she has owned and managed a large mixed animal practice and two small animal AAHA practices in the Madison, Wisconsin area. She is board-certified in internal medicine and is passionate about helping clinics achieve optimal patient care and success.  Representing Encore as a Partnership Development Specialist in the Midwest and beyond, Dr. Leuthner appreciates the magnitude of practice ownership transitions. Having partnered with Encore herself, she understands every step of the transition process, from first contemplating a practice partnership to watching her legacy continue and thrive.  Emily and her husband Mike (the other Dr. Leuthner) have two sons and share their country home with dogs, cats, horses, a miniature donkey named Mr. B, and many fish.

Roger Redman, DVM

Partnership Development Specialist

Roger was a practicing veterinarian for almost 30 years and the owner of two hospitals. He is the Past President of the Ohio Veterinary Medical Licensing Board and the 2019-2020 President of the American Association of Veterinary State Boards representing all of North America.  Roger assists the Partnership Development Team in identifying partnership opportunities with great veterinarians that have great practices. As a DVM that partnered with Encore with his own practices he’s uniquely qualified to understand and address the concerns of today’s busy practice owner.  Roger and his wife Peg have five children and seven grandchildren. They live in Ohio with their dog Chloe. He enjoys fishing and boating in Florida as well as woodworking and wake surfing.




Adam Lundin

Director of Finance

Adam Lundin has over 20 years of accounting and finance experience. His career includes 10 years in the Hospitality Industry where he led the development of a company’s finance team, which grew to over 25 locations across six states during that time.  In his role as Director of Finance, Adam’s team develops processes to ensure stabile growth, service and support to our hospital partners, as well as provides an environment for team member career development.  Adam and his wife Tina both grew up and attended college in New York. They have three children and a Hound/Sheppard mix named Lexi.  On weekends and holidays, they enjoy camping, boating, skiing, and family movie nights.

Rich Moorfoot


Rich Moorfoot has spent the past 12 years in the accounting field.  He spent the first 7 of those years in public accounting at a Big 4 Accounting firm while earning his CPA.  The past 5 years were spent in the veterinary industry in roles ranging from Senior Accountant up through Controller.  Rich helps run the day-to-day operations of the finance team along with performing period end review and financial analysis.  Rich enjoys running and is married to his wife, Sarah, and has 2 sons, Charlie and Jack. They have 1 cat, Teddy.

Bob Brunelle

Senior Relationship Accountant

“I enjoy working with down-to-earth people who care about pets. Hospitals with great cultures make awesome additions to our team. With us, they can focus on enhancing those cultures even more.” Bob Brunelle, Controller of Encore Vet Group, has worked in finance in the veterinary world for 15 years and is eager to provide support for your practice. His dog Jackson would tell you he’s a great guy … but that he could stand to drop a few more ice cubes on the ground every now and then.

Andreas Pahl, MBA, SPHR, CVPM

Director of Analytics

Andreas is thrilled to be part of the Encore family and brings over 25 years of combined veterinary and human health care administration experience to Encore. He has experience as a Veterinary Management Instructor & Veterinary Management Consultant, with an emphasis on practice organization, information technology, administration, budgeting, finance, data analysis, planning, purchasing and human resources. As the Director of Analytics, he uses his experience to combine financial, operational and information technology data to put the accumulated information to good use for the benefit of our hospitals.  Andreas enjoys his time with his wife Debbie, and his identical twin daughters Alex & Vickie.

Lance Sprinkle

Chief Operating Officer

Lance Sprinkle, Chief Operating Officer of Encore Vet Group, co-created the first veterinary-led corporate veterinary management organization in the country. Lance leads the team in operations, business growth and leadership development. His pet parenting style in three words: “Feed, hug, repeat.”

Dennis Chakalis

Relationship Accountant

Dennis Chakalis’ background in the veterinary industry includes serving as a direct point of contact for financial operations – assisting hospital teams. Dennis enjoys spending time with family, friends, and my Yellow Lab named Loki.

Jennifer Harms

Payroll Specialist

Jen has been in the Hospitality industry for the past 10 years serving customers as well as fellow co-workers.  She is dedicated and determined to give exceptional customer service while performing efficient and effective services.  Jen provides accurate and timely payroll processing and is always available and eager to assist with the needs of our clients.  Jen and her husband, Dan, have twin 6-year-old boys Jackie & Danny and a dog named Ellie.


Joe Corrigan

Director of Information Technology

For the past 20 years, Joe has been leading the IT initiatives of medium to large sized organizations.  He has a strong focus on customer service along with an executive MBA from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Rensselaer, New York.   Joe provides technical direction, leadership, and IT services including service desk, infrastructure, and applications.  Joe and his wife Erin have two children, Kyla and Kelly.  The family enjoys spending time together, camping, skiing, and traveling to new places.


Bo Iler

Chief Development Officer

“Over the years I have learned that there is a shared, many-times unspoken bond between those of us that truly love and treasure pets as members of our family. This understanding and commitment is most evident in the hospital teams as they work together to make things better for the pets they serve. I have such great admiration for veterinarians and their teams, and feel privileged to be able to support their pursuit of that calling.”

Bo Iler is the Chief Development Officer of Encore Vet Group. He has worked directly with veterinarians throughout his career focusing on practice improvement, business education and transition planning, making him a great resource for hospitals looking for their next step. His dog Molly loves it when Bo speaks to her in silly voices and pretends to understand him to not hurt his feelings.

Tim O’Connor

Chief Financial Officer

“There is nothing better than working with passionate people who truly want to make a difference.   No one embodies that more than the people in the veterinary hospitals that we work with.  It’s exciting to be able to support them and provide the tools and resources they need to continue to be that difference maker.”  Tim O’Connor, Chief Financial Officer of Encore Vet Group, is experienced in the world of veterinary finance and is eager to provide support for your practice. His two cats, Harriet and Rosie, who like to watch him from afar, think he drinks too much coffee.

Michelle Winter, CVT, CVPM, CVJ

Director of Education and Training

“My passion is to impact practice leaders’ confidence through education.”

Michelle, Director of Education and Training, has hands-on experience in every paraprofessional position including animal caretaker, receptionist, assistant, technician, credentialed technician and manager. Michelle has three dogs and two cats. In her free time, Michelle enjoys competing in triathlons and running events and photographing wildlife.

Heather Prendergast, RVT, CVPM, SPHR

Director of Operations

“My greatest passion is to see veterinary teams elevate themselves, positioning themselves to better serve patients and clients.”

Heather, Director of Operations, has over 25 years of experience serving veterinarians in every position in the practice. Heather has two dogs, two horses and a miniature donkey! In her free time, Heather loves to ride horses and participate in outdoor events.

Matt Peuser, DVM, CVPP, CVA

Director of Medical Operations

Matt Peuser, DVM, CVPP, CVA, graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007.  He practiced in an award winning small animal practice prior to joining corporate veterinary medicine full time in 2018.  His veterinary interests are surgery, dentistry, and pain management.  He is also passionate about developing leaders within the company.  In his current role, Matt works with hospitals in both a medical and leadership role.  He is involved in training, setting medical standards of care for the company, and building the Core Leader program, among other things.   Matt is married with three boys and a wonderful wife.  They are huge sports fans, especially anything related to K-State or Kansas City.  He enjoys playing poker and golf, and working around the house.

Brie Sleasman

Strategic Operations Leader

Brie Sleasman is the Strategic Operations Leader at Encore Vet Group. Brie has 6 years of experience in the veterinary industry; including purchasing, commercial, database management and time at a local veterinary hospital. She enjoys a busy life with her husband, Patrick, their toddler, CJ, two rescue dogs, Jasper and Paisley and their foster dog Emmy. They like to spend time at Saratoga Lake with family and friends; boating and watching the dogs jump off the dock.

Mike Peteani

Director of Human Resources

Mike leads the HR functions in support of Encore Vet Group’s partner hospitals.  He believes in a customer service approach to HR that makes the lives of employees easy and their partnership with HR rewarding.  To this end, Mike will focus upon continually refining and modernizing HR systems and solutions thereby helping to support the company’s growth and improve the employee experience.  Mike is married to Annmarie, his wife of 13 years and they currently live in Saratoga with their 3 dogs – Charlie, Cabo and Tyson.  They also have 3 children – Ronnie, Erika and Reid.
